TWO ORPHANS FROM CHEKULO KABUCHAI ARE REQUESTING FOR ANY WELL-WISHER TO HELP THEM GET HEART TREATMENT

A widowed woman from the village of Chekulo, Luya Bwake ward in Kabuchai constituency needs financial support to enable her to treat her two children Wilson Simiyu (17 years) and Merlyn Nasambu (14 years) who are suffering from heart disease while having all parts of their body swollen.

Speaking to reporters at Webuye County Hospital, the woman, Gladys Wenani, said that her two sons, one of whom is hospitalized at Bungoma West Hospital in Bungoma town  and the other at the Webuye County hospital, began suffering from inflammation of the stomach and various parts of the body. several months ago something that has deprived them of sleep.

"I have nine children and they have all been healthy, but in July Wilson and Merlin suddenly began to suffer from swelling all over their bodies," she said.

According to a doctor's report at Bungoma West Hospital where 17-year-old Wilson Simiyu is lying, he needs a heart surgery which will cost three million shillings (3,000,000/=).

The family is now appealing to donors to help them saying that given the current situation they are unable to afford the treatment of the two children who both have heart problems.

"I am requesting my MCA Rosemary Khisa, Mama County Catherine Wambilianga and my governor Wycliffe Wangamati to help me. One child needs three million shillings and am waiting for the doctors’ report at Webuye Hospital to know how much it will coast to treat the other child. Mrs Wenani said.

However, nurse Jane Nyongesa who from webuye County Hospital where Merlin Nasambu  is admitted says the girl needs special care and it will cost the Family a lot of money.
