Political analyst Isaac Wanjekeche says it
will not be possible for Bungoma County to be dissolved.
According to Wanjekeche Governor Wycliffe
Wangamati and his constituents are using the issue to quell the anger of the
ward representatives against him but the move will not bear fruit.
"We have seen counties that have tried
the issue failed and we know the Governor will not succeed," Wanjekeche
said.
Wanjekeche has called on the governor to look for an alternative way to resolve his
differences with ward representatives instead of making threats to the
parliament through county officials led by agriculture minister Mathew Makanda.
He added that the governor's move to submit
three names of chief officers signifies that he has no intention of dissolving
the county.
"If he wants to dissolve Bungoma County
then why does he want the County Assembly to approve the names of his chief officers"
the analyst said.
