Religious leaders in Bungoma County have
called for a dialogue between Bungoma County senator Moses Wetangula and county
governor Wyclife Wangamati to resolve the controversy that has been witnessed
between them and the Fordkenya party leadership.
Speaking in Webuye, the religious leaders led by
chairman of the preachers 'union in Webuye west constituency David Walhuku said
the two leaders' clashes have halted development projects in Bungoma County
while urging them to resolve the dispute through negotiations or in court .
"We ask you to alleviate pride and to
consult, we want progress, your politics does not help us," Bishop
Walukhu said.
The religious leaders, however, have called
on the Governor not to dissolve the county parliament, saying that the
dissolution of the parliament would likely affect development projects in
various wards.
